H.E Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy Prime Minister met Mrs. Roza Otunbayeva, Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) for Afghanistan

At the beginning Mrs. Roza Otunbayeva spoke regarding her trip to different provinces of Afghanistan and expressed contentment with the prevailing security across the country. She added that the United Nations is willing the continuation of aid with the people of Afghanistan and urges the leadership of the IEA to cooperate fully in order to deliver the aid to the deserving people.
Mrs. Roza Otunbayeva presented information regarding the Third Doha meeting and UN’s plans to fight climate change, environmental protection and other sectors and further sought all-round cooperation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in this regard.
H.E Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, while welcoming her appreciated the assistance of the United Nations with the people of Afghanistan and the efforts of United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan to improve Afghanistan's relations with other countries.
The Administrative Deputy Prime Minister added that provision of security, eradication of administrative corruption, prohibition of cultivation, smuggling, trade and use of narcotics, provision of job opportunities for youth and implementation of developmental projects in different parts of the country are among the achievements of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
H.E Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi urged the UN and other relief organizations to cooperate in health, education and agriculture sectors and further demanded the handing over of Afghanistan's seat in the United Nations to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, end of sanctions and removal of the names of the elders of the IE from the black list.
