It is with profound sorrow that we have received the news of the martyrdom of Hudhayfah al-Kahlout (Abu Ubaida), the spokesman of the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian jihadi movement Hamas, along with a number of other leaders.
Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
Today, the al-Qassam Brigades officially announced the martyrdom of a number of their leaders, including Commander Mohammad Sinwar (Abu Ibrahim), Commander Hudhayfah al-Kahlout, spokesman of the military wing of the al-Qassam Brigades, Commander Mohammad Shabana (Abu Anas), Commander Hikmat al-Issa (Abu Omar), and Commander Raed Saad.
Martyrdom in the path of Almighty Allah is the ultimate and greatest aspiration of Muslims. We regard these martyrs, like other martyrs on the path of Islam, as victorious and as having attained their great objective.
On the occasion of their martyrdom, we extend our condolences to the Islamic Movement Hamas, their families, and all concerned. We ask Almighty Allah to grant all of them the greatest patience and reward, and we pray to Almighty Allah to grant these martyrs the highest ranks in Janna (Paradise).
We pray to Almighty Allah that, by virtue of the pure blood of these and other martyrs, He may liberate the sacred land of Palestine from the occupation and oppression of the Zionist occupiers, and render the oppressors destroyed and failed forever. Ameen, Ya Rabb al-Aalameen.
