The Commission for liaison with Afghan Personalities and their repatriation has issued protection cards to several individuals, including Major General Hafizullah Nazari, who served under the previous administration. Mawlavi Zakirullah Zakir, head of the commission’s secretariat, welcomed the returning former military personnel, noting that the Islamic Emirate, pursuant to a general amnesty, has refrained from questioning any individual regarding their previous career in the previous administration. He affirmed that the amnesty decree has been fully implemented.
Mawlavi Zakir further noted that following the issuance of protection cards, all government departments are now obligated to cooperate closely with the cardholders, providing necessary assistance whenever required. The returning high-ranking former military officials conveyed their gratitude to the Islamic Emirate for facilitating their repatriation and expressed satisfaction with the comprehensive security across Afghanistan. They affirmed that Afghans do not endorse war and will continue to collaborate with the Islamic Emirate toward national development and the preservation of enduring peace.
