Deputy Prime Minister Inaugurates Three Electricity Projects in Faryab Province

H.E. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, today inaugurated three electricity transmission and distribution projects in Faryab Province.

These projects include the extension of a 110-kilovolt electricity transmission line from the central substation in Faryab Province to the districts of Belcheragh and Garziwan, the construction of a 110/20-kilovolt substation in Belcheragh district, and the expansion of electricity distribution networks through 18 transformers in Belcheragh district and five MVA-capacity transformers in Pashtun Kot district.

The total cost of the projects is 1.12 billion Afghanis, funded by the Islamic Emirate. The projects are expected to be implemented by the private sector and completed within three years. Upon completion, they are expected to reduce electricity shortages in the area and improve services and facilities for local residents.
