Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, esteemed Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, attended and delivered remarks at the ceremony held this morning for the installation of an informational plaque at the Arg Grand Mosque.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran. Subsequently, Qari Abdul Sattar Saeed, Deputy for Public and Strategic Relations of the Prime Minister’s Office, provided a discourse on the history of the Arg and its palaces, expressing appreciation to those who contributed to the preparation of informational plaques for the Arg Grand Mosque and its palaces.
He underscored the Arg’s stature as a vital historical monument of national significance, politically consequential, and meriting continual preservation and attention.
Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, then addressed the assembly, affirming that the creation of informational plaques for the Arg Grand Mosque and its palaces represents a positive undertaking. He observed that this informational effort is both constructive and valuable for the mosque and other historical entities within the Arg complex.
He conveyed gratitude to the Directorate of Miniature and Cultural Affairs for its initiative in developing these informational plaques for the Arg Grand Mosque and its palaces, and he prayed for Allah’s guidance to sustain future efforts aimed at comprehensive introductions of historical sites. He emphasized the objective of methodically installing informational plaques across all palaces within the Arg.
The ceremony concluded with Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, formally installing the informational plaque at the Arg Grand Mosque in the presence of pertinent officials. The event ended with a final prayer led by the revered Mufti Mahmood Zakari.
