Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office Meets National Traders

The Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, met with a number of the country’s national traders at the Arg.

At the outset, the Head of the Political and Public Affairs Department of the Office of the Prime Minister, His Excellency Sheikh Mahmood Zakiri, welcomed the national traders and stated that, according to the words of His Highness the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah Almighty protect him), they are the economic mujahideen of Afghanistan who strive and make sacrifices for the stability and economic sustainability of the country.

Subsequently, Mirwais Wazirzai Katawazi, Atiqullah Mominzada, Zalmai Azimi, Sardar Popal, and Ahmad Shah Yarzada, on behalf of other national traders, expressed their satisfaction with the establishment of nationwide security in the country and presented their demands and proposals aimed at increasing support for traders.

While welcoming them, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister, H.E Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, spoke about cooperation and mutual assistance in the light of verses from the Holy Qur’an and stated that he hoped this meeting would be a source of the pleasure of Allah Almighty and contribute to the welfare and prosperity of the people of Afghanistan.

Referring to the matter, he stated that the officials of the IEA and the relevant institutions are aware of the problems faced by the country’s traders and are making greater efforts than before to resolve them. He added that, in addition to being raised verbally and in writing with the relevant authorities, the traders’ demands and suggestions will also be presented to the weekly meeting of the Economic Commission for further discussion and the identification of appropriate solutions.
