The General Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mr. Mawlawi Zakirullah Zakir, formally distributed protection cards to several officials of the former administration, including former senator Waheeda Safi.

During this official assembly, the returnees from abroad articulated their strong commitment to contributing to Afghanistan’s socio-economic development and national prosperity, expressing their aspiration to reside honorably among their fellow citizens within their homeland.

They underscored the imperative need for Afghans to unify and collaborate in the collective effort toward the country's reconstruction. In their view, a significant number of former government officials and prominent Afghan figures currently residing abroad are increasingly inclined to repatriate.

Subsequently, the General Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Mr. Mawlawi Zakirullah Zakir, extended a formal welcome to the returning citizens. He reaffirmed that Afghanistan constitutes the common home of all Afghans, wherein every individual possesses the inherent right to live with dignity and security.

Mr. Mawlawi Zakirullah Zakir further emphasized that, following the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, a general amnesty was officially proclaimed, ensuring that no individual is subjected to interrogation or accountability regarding their past governmental roles and responsibilities.
