Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Hasan Akhund spoke with Shebaz Sharif , Prime Minister of Pakistan today evening by phone.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan to Prime Minster Hasan Akhund for the loss and damages made by the recent earthquake and assured of comprehensive cooperation and assistance.
He said: "We stand with Afghan people in this difficult time and we have opened the doors of Angor-Ada and Ghulam Khan Bandar to those affected by the recent tragedy”.
PM Sharif added, "Instantly after the incident, our first aid package reached the area and I instructed the relevant agencies to provide and deliver other necessary items."
He also assured of continued efforts on the world stages to free the frozen assets of Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Hasan Akhund expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for his condolences and said, “We appreciate the fact that Pakistan stands by Afghanistan as a Muslim brotherly country in these difficult times."
Prime Minister Hasan Akhund stated that Afghanistan has been severely affected by natural disaster and the world and donor countries should provide immediate assistance to the vulnerable and needy people of Afghanistan.
