The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, accompanied by Sheikh Faqir Mohammad Mohammadi, Deputy Minister of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Complaints Hearing, visited Paktika Province and convened with local officials.
During the meeting, the Governor of Paktika, Mawlavi Abdul Khaliq Abid, briefed H.E. Mawlavi Abdul Kabir on provincial activities. He reported that since the victory of the Islamic Emirate, numerous challenges in the province have been addressed, and certain developmental projects have been initiated. However, he underscored the necessity for intensified efforts to improve the economic conditions of Paktika's populace.
Deputy Governor Mawlavi Makhdum Abdul Salam Saadat elaborated on the forthcoming solar power project and the establishment of an electricity substation for Sharan, the provincial capital. These initiatives, upon completion, are anticipated to resolve the region's electricity shortages.
The governor and other officials presented their proposals for fostering positive changes across various sectors of the province to the Deputy Prime Minister. They further assured him of the sustained security within Paktika Province.
H.E. Mawlavi Abdul Kabir praised the endeavors of Paktika's officials and commended the contributions of the security institutions and Mujahideen to ensuring stability.
The Deputy Prime Minister also acknowledged the sacrifices of Paktika's residents during the past two decades of jihad, highlighting their pivotal role in securing the Islamic Emirate's victory. He reaffirmed the Emirate’s dedication to the equitable development of all regions and pledged increased efforts to meet the needs of Paktika Province.
At the close of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister provided guidance to Paktika officials to enhance their progress.
