H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, participated and delivered remarks at a coordination meeting with Kabul residents focused on promoting virtue and preventing vice. The event was organized by the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints.
At the outset, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that promoting virtues, eliminating vices, and hearing public complaints are essential pillars of an Islamic society and key objectives of an Islamic system.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that with the conclusion of the struggle against foreign occupiers, the national priority must now shift to governing and safeguarding the Islamic system. He underscored the responsibility of officials to strengthen this system across the country and to ensure the rights of all citizens.
The Deputy Prime Minister urged officials to intensify their efforts in promoting virtues, curbing vices, and engaging the public with integrity, respect, and proper conduct.
He further highlighted the extensive damage caused by decades of conflict, noting that under the Islamic Emirate, nationwide security has been restored, administrative corruption significantly reduced, and development projects are being implemented throughout the country.
Addressing the issue of returning migrants, he expressed concern over the forced deportation of Afghan refugees from neighboring countries despite their legal documentation.
