The regular meeting of the Economic Commission of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was held today at the Marble Palace under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Al-Haj Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund.
According to the meeting’s agenda, ten investment proposals worth approximately 2.274 billion Afghanis in various provinces were presented for approval, which were endorsed after comprehensive evaluation.
These projects include the construction of a two-story commercial market in Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province, a five-story commercial market in Sheberghan city, the capital of Jawzjan province, a ten-story commercial market in Khost city, the capital of Khost province, a five-story market in Mehtarlam city, the capital of Laghman province, an eight-story commercial market in the 11th district of Kabul city, and another eight-story commercial market in the 1st district of Kabul city.
Additionally, the approved projects include the construction of a 20-story commercial and residential building in the 10th district of Kabul city, an underground commercial market in the Wuch Dand area of Jalalabad city, Nangarhar province, and a commercial complex in the Islam Qala trade port of Herat province, which will be equipped with all necessary facilities.
Another approved proposal was the establishment of a fruit tree nursery on 150 Jeribs of land in Guzara district of Herat province.
It is noteworthy that the aforementioned investment projects were thoroughly reviewed by the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee under the supervision of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, and were then referred to the Economic Commission for final approval.
The adopted decisions have been forwarded to the Office of His Highness, the Amir al-Mu'minin, Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada (may Allah protect him), for final decision-making.
