H.E Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, held a meeting yesterday evening with several elders and university professors from Bamyan Province.
The elders and professors from Bamyan commended the Islamic Emirate's efforts in the reconstruction of the country and the maintenance of national security, pledging their full cooperation in these efforts.
Additionally, the elders raised several local concerns and proposed that the youth of Bamyan be afforded more opportunities to join the ranks of the Islamic Army and contribute to the country's service.
Moreover, they submitted a proposal to the Deputy Prime Minister advocating for the appointment of Shia scholars within the Ministry of Propagation of Virtue, Prevention of Vice and hearing Complaints.
H.E Mawlawi Abdul Kabir expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and stressed that local officials across the nation bear the responsibility of listening to the counsel of local elders, scholars, and the general public, and of resolving issues in a timely manner.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs further stated that the Islamic Emirate is receptive to such recommendations, assuring that the relevant authorities will carefully consider the proposals from the people of Bamyan and take the necessary measures to address them.
