Deputy Prime Minister Meets UK Special Representative for Afghanistan

H.E. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with the United Kingdom’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Mr. Richard Lindsay, in his office.

During the meeting, discussions were held on strengthening coordination and cooperation between Afghanistan and the international community, as well as the continuation of humanitarian assistance from the government and people of the United Kingdom to the people of Afghanistan.

H.E. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund stated that Afghanistan’s economic situation has improved considerably compared to the past and that economic cooperation with the region and neighboring countries has expanded.

Mr. Richard Lindsay, the United Kingdom’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, expressed his sympathy over the martyrdom of Afghan citizens in recent attacks by the Pakistani military regime and stated that the government and people of the United Kingdom will continue their assistance to the Afghan people.
