Mawlavi Zakirullah Zakir, General Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met today in Kabul with Muhammad Saeed Al-Ayash, Ambassador of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The meeting centered on cooperation between the Islamic Emirate and the OIC. Ambassador Al-Ayash conveyed the organization’s commitment to collaboration and support for Afghanistan.
He commended the Islamic Emirate’s diplomatic engagement and cooperation, highlighting ongoing OIC-led reconstruction projects in Afghanistan and its intentions to expand participation in broader infrastructure initiatives.
Mawlavi Zakirullah Zakir expressed appreciation for the OIC’s assistance across multiple sectors in Afghanistan, characterizing the organization as a pivotal unifying force within the Islamic world.
Mr. Zakir reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to fostering constructive international relations within the framework of Islamic principles and urged the broader Islamic community to engage in Afghanistan’s structural, religious, academic, and cultural initiatives.
At the meeting’s conclusion, the OIC Ambassador and the General Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs formalized an agreement for the completion of a water supply network and the remaining construction of a mosque in Kabul’s Chahar Asyab district. This project, initiated by the district’s elders and coordinated through the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, will be executed under the auspices of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
