During his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund held a meeting with officials of the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tehran.
While visiting the Afghan Embassy in Tehran, the Deputy PM highlighted that over the past four decades, Afghans encountered numerous challenges in foreign lands. He also referred to the government in place that genuinely prioritizes serving the people and is fully committed to fulfilling its responsibilities in this regard.
In his address, Mullah Baradar Akhund emphasized that the happiness and contentment of the Afghan people are their primary aspirations. He called upon every responsible individual to exert their utmost efforts in addressing the concerns of our fellow citizens promptly and effectively. According to him, Afghanistan's progress hinges on a government dedicated to serving the nation, while the nation collaborates closely with the government in all endeavors, enabling the nation to stand on its own feet.
Furthermore, he directed embassy officials to prioritize higher education opportunities for Afghan students in Iran and resolve any related issues.
The embassy officials reported on their activities and highlighted substantial improvements in solving problems faced by Afghan refugees and workers in Iran following the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate. They also noted successful engagements with Iranian authorities to facilitate necessary support. Additionally, they mentioned the elimination of corruption within the embassy's operations, resulting in a significant increase in its revenue compared to previous years.
