Deputy Prime Minister Meets with Daykundi Governor

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Alhaj Mawlawi Torjan, Governor of Daykundi Province.

At the outset of the meeting, the Governor of Daykundi briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on the province’s economic, social, and governance situation, the status of returning migrants, and the performance of local administrative bodies.

The Governor noted that provincial officials are continuously engaged in efforts to maintain security, provide public services, and address the concerns of citizens, particularly returning migrants.

The Governor of Daykundi province also raised the people’s demands in education, healthcare, and development, and requested the Islamic Emirate authorities to give due attention to these areas.

In response, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi welcomed the Governor and stated that ensuring security and serving the people are among the commitments of the Islamic Emirate, emphasizing that local officials must make serious efforts in these areas, particularly in addressing the situation of returning migrants.

The Deputy Prime Minister further stated that the relevant institutions will address the issues raised in light of available resources.
