The twelfth Cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) was convened under the chairmanship of His Excellency Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, following which key economic, social, and cultural issues of the country were deliberated, and several decisions were adopted.
During the meeting, a delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Al-Haj Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, was mandated to evaluate the existing oil refining facilities in the country to determine their capacity to refine oil in accordance with the required standards. The delegation was also instructed to encourage investors to establish standardized oil refineries and to equip them with the necessary modern machinery.
Furthermore, another delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, was tasked, in accordance with the decree of His Highness the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah Almighty protect him), to convene a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Kabul Municipality, and the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, with the objective of facilitating housing construction for citizens, particularly for returnees who have recently returned from neighboring countries.
It is noteworthy that the Cabinet meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill following detailed discussions and decisions on a range of important matters.
