Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Meets Flood-Affected Citizens in Ghor Province

On June 14, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, visited Ghor province to meet with citizens affected by recent floods. During his visit, he offered his condolences to those impacted by the disaster and held discussions with provincial officials.

In his address, Mullah Baradar Akhund highlighted the severe personal and financial losses caused by the floods across various provinces. He noted the widespread displacement of families, the inundation of agricultural lands, and the destruction of infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, and roads. He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate had promptly provided assistance to the flood-affected individuals.

Expressing sorrow over the tragedy, Mullah Baradar Akhund conveyed the Islamic Emirate's solidarity with the citizens in their time of grief. He mentioned that tens of tons of food, medicine, and clothing had already been sent to Ghor province. Additionally, he announced the provision of tens of millions of Afghanis in cash to support the affected citizens.

Addressing the people of Ghor, the Deputy PM stated, "We have instructed all government officials to gather aid and ensure its transparent distribution to the deserving and vulnerable citizens. They are working tirelessly to assist you."

He thanked all citizens who had contributed to the relief efforts and prayed for Allah Almighty to reward their generosity. In the end, Mullah Baradar Akhund assured the residents of Ghor that the Islamic Emirate would continue to support them until their problems are resolved and their lives return to normal.
