Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs and His Accompanying Delegation's visit to Termez, Uzbekistan

During his official visit to Uzbekistan, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, engaged in continued dialogues with officials and explored historical and cultural landmarks during his visit to the city of Termez.

Upon arrival in Termez, H.E Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi and his accompanying delegation were received with great warmth by the governor of Surkhandarya and other officials of Termez. Subsequently, he held a meeting with the governor of Surkhandarya, Mr. Ulugʻbek Qosimov.

During the reception, the governor of Surkhandarya highlighted the enduring relationship between the two nations, underscoring that Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have coexisted peacefully as neighboring brothers for many years. He remarked that both countries have sustained amicable and cooperative ties across various domains and reiterated Uzbekistan's eagerness to further fortify these bonds in diverse sectors.

H.E Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the hospitality extended to him and underscored that Afghanistan and Uzbekistan share a robust and positive relationship grounded in mutual respect and close friendship. He affirmed Afghanistan's commitment to deepening and expanding these ties, drawing upon their historical, cultural, and shared commonalities.

During the visit, H.E Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi and his delegation also toured the province’s revered historical and cultural sites, including the mausoleums of Imam Tirmidhi and Hakim Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on them), where they offered prayers for their eternal forgiveness.
