The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), His Excellency Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, traveled to Sar-e Pol Province this afternoon and formally inaugurated the aid distribution process for displaced persons in the province.
During this visit, he was accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Mawlawi Ataullah Omari, the Head of the Council of Ulema, and a number of local officials from Sar-e Pol Province.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the IEA stated that addressing the problems of displaced persons is among the fundamental responsibilities of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and that it is necessary for officials to make sustained and continuous efforts to resolve their difficulties. His Excellency Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi added that during the period of occupation, many Afghans were displaced in order to safeguard their religion, honor, and dignity, and endured numerous hardships. However, he noted with regret that they were forcibly deported by neighboring countries in violation of the principles of good neighborliness and international laws, and that they are now in urgent need of assistance.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the IEA further stated that, based on the guidance of His Highness the Amir al-Mu’minin, Sheikh al-Qur’an and al-Hadith Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada (may Allah protect him), the aid distribution process for displaced persons has been launched, and that this initiative can play an effective role in meeting their basic needs.
Addressing the returnees, His Excellency Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi said: “You have endured very difficult days. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will spare no effort in supporting you, and without doubt, as a result of the continuous efforts of the responsible authorities, your problems will be resolved.”
At the conclusion of his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the IEA called upon the public to participate in assisting and cooperating with returnees and other needy citizens, so that they do not face difficulties during the winter season.
