Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Meets with Emergency Organization Delegation

Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with a delegation from the Emergency Organization, led by Mr. Daniele Giacomini, Regional Director of Emergency and Development. The delegation also included Mr. Dejan Panich, Head of Emergency in Afghanistan, and Dr. Khushal, Head of the Emergency Hospital in Lashkar Gah, Helmand province.

Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the health services provided by the organisation in Afghanistan.

Mr. Daniele stated that the Emergency Organization began its activities in Afghanistan in 1999 and currently operates 27 centers in Kabul, Helmand, Panjshir, and other remote districts. He also highlighted the organization's achievements and charitable health initiatives, not only in Afghanistan but also in other countries such as Syria, Uganda, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen, and Gaza.

He mentioned that while the Emergency Organization initially focused on treating war casualties, it now also provides care for victims of traffic accidents and other incidents, with all medical services, surgeries, and medications offered free of charge. He also outlined the organization's future plans, which include expanding its services to more areas of Afghanistan and increasing its support for public health initiatives.

Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister, stressed the importance of continuing their efforts to support Afghanistan’s marginalized and impoverished communities. He assured the delegation of the Islamic Emirate's unwavering commitment to providing full support and cooperation across all areas. Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi expressed hope that their partnership would persist, particularly in the revitalization of the country's health sector.
