This morning, a distinguished government delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, visited the Balkh province to partake in a ceremony marking the inauguration of the initial segment of the Qosh Tepa Canal and the commencement of the second phase's construction.

The first segment of the Qosh Tepa Canal, spanning 108 kilometers, originates from the Amo River in the Kaldar district of Balkh province. It traverses vast deserts in the Haritaan area before concluding at the Daulatabad district.
