H.E. Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund presided over the 19th Cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan today, during which a range of important national issues were addressed.
The session began with the recitation of several blessed verses from the Holy Quran, followed by deliberations and decisions on key national, economic, social, and cultural matters.
The High Commission for Addressing Refugee Issues was given the responsibility to begin the distribution of land to eligible returnees in provinces where designated plots are available. This initiative is aimed at providing returnees with the opportunity to establish permanent homes, ensuring they have the stability and security needed to rebuild their lives and contribute to their communities.
In addition, all committees under the commission were mandated to concentrate on refugee affairs and effectively execute their tasks in the designated settlement areas.
The National Statistics and Information Authority was tasked with sending a team to Iran to verify the identity of Afghan nationals living there, aiming to facilitate the issuance of identification documents, passports, access to education, and other essential services. The meeting concluded with a prayer for blessings.
