H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, attended and delivered a speech today at the ceremony introducing Al-Haj Mohammad Fazl Akhund, who was recently appointed as Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation by decree of the Supreme Leader, may Allah protect him.
During the ceremony, which was also attended by several senior officials of the Islamic Emirate, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs commended Al-Haj Mohammad Fazl Akhund for his accomplishments and dedicated service in his previous role as Deputy Minister of National Defense, describing his contributions as commendable.
He also expressed appreciation for the efforts and services of Mr. Hamidullah Akhundzada, the outgoing Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.
The Deputy Prime Minister prayed to Almighty Allah for the success of both officials in their new responsibilities.
He further expressed hope that Al-Haj Mohammad Fazl Akhund, by leveraging his experience, will take effective steps to develop infrastructure, strengthen coordination among relevant departments, and improve the quality of land and air transport services.
