16th Cabinet Meeting: Talks on Electricity Transmission, Advancing Development Projects, and Other Important Matters

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan held its 16th Cabinet meeting on Monday, chaired by H.E. Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, where various topics were discussed, and important decisions were made.

During the meeting, the General Directorate of Emirate Companies was tasked with expediting the electricity supply process and implementing the necessary measures to ensure its efficiency.

Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs was assigned to engage with representatives from the Ministry of Water and Energy and the Electricity Company to thoroughly define their roles in the electricity sector and enhance collaboration and coordination between them.

The Ministry of Economy was tasked with coordinating with relevant institutions on the implementation of development projects, overseeing the development budget expenditures, and ensuring that projects are completed on time.  

Moreover, numerous other issues were referred to specific committees for finalization, and their reports will be presented at the next Cabinet meeting.

The meeting came to a close with prayers for progress and prosperity.
