Deputy Prime Minister Visits Omari Temporary Refugee Camp in Nangarhar Province

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, visited the Omari Temporary Refugee Camp in Nangarhar Province during his trip to the province.

During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied by Mawlawi Mohammad Naeem Akhund, Governor of Nangarhar, and other officials. He visited various sections of the camp, including returnee registration and verification areas, the mosque, health center, residential units, transport facilities, and aid organizations, and closely reviewed the situation of returning migrants.

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi met with a number of returnee migrants as well as camp officials, listened to their problems and requests, and assured them that necessary measures would be taken to address their concerns.

He emphasized that addressing the problems of migrants is one of the core responsibilities and commitments of the Islamic Emirate, adding that officials are working to provide facilities in various areas, including housing, basic services, employment opportunities, and improved living conditions for returnees.

He also instructed relevant officials to give serious attention to migrant affairs and to spare no effort in this regard.

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister addressed the returnee migrants, urging them to contribute to the development and reconstruction of their country based on their skills, professions, and available opportunities.
