H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, traveled to Nangarhar Province yesterday at the head of a delegation.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied by Mawlawi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Mawlawi Mohammad Naeem Akhund, Governor of Nangarhar, and other officials. He closely reviewed local administrations and stressed the need to improve service delivery and expedite service provision for citizens.
H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi stated that maintaining security, ensuring timely services, and treating the public with respect are key priorities of government institutions, urging all officials to intensify their efforts in serving the people.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reviewed the situation of migrants in the eastern region and assessed the progress of their permanent resettlement.
He further emphasized improving services and providing essential facilities, including access to drinking water, accelerating the distribution of residential plots to migrants in Nangarhar, Kunar, and Nuristan, and better addressing their needs.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister issued separate directives to the Ministries of Urban Development and Housing, Public Works, Rural Rehabilitation and Development, and other relevant institutions to take necessary steps regarding land allocation, road construction, and the drilling of drinking water wells.
