Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Addresses a Seminar on Migrant Opportunities and Challenges

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, delivered a speech at the seminar titled "Opportunities and Challenges for Migrants," organized by the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations.

The event was attended by officials from the Ministry, as well as various representatives from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, relevant agencies, experts, and researchers.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations for their efforts in organizing the seminar. He highlighted that the occupation and foreign conflicts in Afghanistan have led to the migration of a significant number of Afghans to neighboring countries and other regions.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs also conveyed his gratitude for the hospitality provided by certain neighboring countries during periods of jihad. He urged host nations to permit Afghan migrants to return to Afghanistan voluntarily and to refrain from any form of forced deportation.

Deputy Prime Minister stated that the Islamic Emirate is striving to initiate large projects aimed at preventing Afghan citizens from migrating due to poverty and encouraging those residing abroad to return to their home country. He further added that relevant international organizations should fulfill their responsibilities regarding refugees and provide necessary assistance.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised the efforts of the Islamic Emirate’s High Commission for Refugees and expressed gratitude for the essential services provided to Afghan returnees.
