Deputy Prime Minister Chairs Meeting to Facilitate Housing Construction

His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, chaired a meeting this morning to establish facilitation measures for housing construction. Representatives from the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, Kabul Municipality, and the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs attended the meeting.

During the meeting, participants discussed ways to facilitate the process of issuing construction permits and to remove obstacles to providing suitable land for building residential houses in both planned and unplanned areas.

Participants emphasized the need to take practical and effective measures to provide services to citizens, particularly returnees, so that they can take timely and organized steps toward building their homes.

Additionally, participants discussed enhancing coordination among relevant institutions and accelerating administrative processes. Officials stated that providing suitable land for housing constitutes a fundamental need of cities and that addressing this issue seriously can play a significant role in improving the living conditions of citizens.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants emphasized the need to follow up seriously on the decisions made and to continue cooperation among relevant institutions to ensure that the process of housing construction and the provision of employment opportunities becomes effective and accessible for the public.
