Deputy Prime Minister Inaugurates Paranda Power Plant in Panjshir

H.E. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, officially inaugurated the Paranda Power Generation Plant in Panjshir Province today.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that electricity is essential for industrial development, noting that Afghanistan’s rivers, sunny plains, and strong winds from Kunar to Helmand, Farah, Herat, and Nimroz offer vast potential for power generation.

He added that achieving self-sufficiency in electricity is a key priority of the Islamic Emirate, and fundamental efforts are already underway.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, once Afghanistan attains self-reliance in power generation, the country will export high-quality products instead of importing low-quality goods, paving the way for increased investment and economic growth.

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister called on traders and investors to engage in Afghanistan’s industrial sector, particularly in power generation, assuring them that the Islamic Emirate will provide full support and all necessary facilities.
