Delgosha Palace was built during the reign of Amir Habibullah Khan, situated in the center of the Arg. It was named "Delgosha" upon its inauguration. It is said that the metal framework (skeleton) for the palace was brought from British India, though construction work officially began in September of 1290 AH (1911 AD). The palace was completed in September of 1295 AH, which corresponds to August 1914 AD, when it was officially opened. Engineers from Britain, Germany, and Australia were involved in its construction.
The architectural design, craftsmanship, and technical advancements of Delgosha Palace were unmatched by other palaces of its era. The palace's carpentry, painting, and other decorative features employed materials and techniques that were considered groundbreaking for the time. Delgosha comprises 13 rooms and two spacious reception halls (salons), each reflecting exceptional artistry and skilled workmanship.
